CC @ S.O.D.!

hi! i have just finished three layouts for scrap of difference challenge weekend.. the theme this time was "how time flies" so the layouts had to be based on that theme.

"a beautiful life" is based on the way time has flown and my daughter is now a beautiful young woman... this was done for the sketch challenge.

"one moment please" was done for the color challenge which was to use a color combo of orange, blue, green and white.. the idea for this layout came about because life is so busy and the time just flies by so it is good to take a moment and watch the world go by..

and the layout "it take a long time to grow an old friend" was for the challenge to use the word time, have a clock and a bird on your layout.. my dear friend Marlene is in this photo with me. we used to work together in 1979... and she is such a wonderful person and a very special friend..
hope your day is not too busy today! thanks for stoppin by!!

kraft it up!

what have i pulled out of the hat?

i have just finished my layout for the november out of the hat challenge.. the criteria was to use string (check) corrugated cardboard (fence) and have a painted background (which i did using an old bus pass, as i couldn't find an old bank card.. and put dollops of paint on the cardstock and pulled the card down towards myself to just leave sliding marks..i saw this done somewhere and thought i would have a go..) enough waffle.. this layout brings a tear to my eye as it is one of the last photos of my horse and i as she had arthritis in her legs and was finding it hard to get up from lying down and walking.. so i had to do the hard thing and say goodbye.. but she has left her hoof prints on my heart...

other criteria called for a sand castle, bucket and spade or beach towel, a few seagulls and use a family beach photo.
. so i had a photo of my  girls and i taken at Stradbroke island in march.... i am happy with how it turned out.. a little less cluttered than usual for me..hummm maybe i am changing in my style..!!haha!! thanks for popping in!

layouts from october..

i have two layouts from october to share

i have joined in the fun at http://www.scrapofdifference.com.au/shop/ (scrap of difference) for a while now and Jo runs challenges each month.. one of which is a scraplift and a product challenge. i chose a layout from mrs docko as my foundations for my scraplift, but rotated the sketch and added a few different things..(as i do!!) My dear mum-in-law celebrated her 70th birthday in march and i thought the papers from kaiser were lovely for a feminine layout..

and the product challenge is to use kaiser flowers... and as i have a few (well more than a few....) i thought i would have a go at this one too!!  i used a sketch from sketch inspiration #147 for this layout..
