Scrap Africa/AFSC and FWAB June..

Hello there on this the last day of June.. Can you believe it?? It is blowing a gale outside and very cool, no surprises as we are in the middle of winter here!!

I have 2 layouts to finish the month off with..

I have joined the challenges over at SCRAP AFRICA and ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE as they allow challenges to be joined..
Scrap Africa is to use your stash, and I really went to the bottom of my drawer to find these old Basic Grey papers, and some old stickers and an old frame from Twiddleybiz and I have used the sketch from AFSC which looks like..
and my layout...

Gorgeous girl..
The die cut squares would be really old and the ribbon is too! And the photo is one I have had for years as it is a 8 by 5 a size I don't do nowadays!! What a challenge to use old stuff and not have it looking out of fashion!!

and the other layout I have created is the June sketch for FLOURISH WITH A BLING which is to use the sketch and at least one FWAB product..

I have used the sketch like this..
and my layout..

Be your own kind of beautiful..

I have used 2 of the metallic vines and a little mushroom of FWAB products.

Well thanks for coming by, Keep warm if you are in a cold season, and enjoy if you are in a warmer season! It is so wonderful to have friends visit from all around the world.. and so lovely to read any comments you leave me too!! Enjoy the rest of your day!

A very good day to you where ever you have popped in from.. I hope your day is going splendidly!

I have a few things to pop up that I have been working on during the last week.. I did not get any scrapping done last weekend, but I did not mind one bit as I went up the coast to spend some time with my Daughter and on the Sunday I caught up with LIZZY HILL!! what a lot of talking we did!! hehe!! But it was wonderful to meet Lizzy in real life..

She is so lovely!! It was a good day that went far too quickly!!

Well on with my creations..

The card sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #93 leaves a lot of room for interpretation..
and my card.. with lots of layers.. and a 3-D sticker in the centre..

and I had a go at the June sketch for the Scrapbook Store which looks like..

 TSS_Sketch_-_June_2014.jpgand my layout..

Be Yourself.

and I wanted to join in with KRAFT IT UP as it could well be the last challenge unless someone takes it on, which is sad as it really is a great challenge site.. The challenge is to use the sketch, with pink and ink/mist  splatters..
The sketch..

My layout - Joy

White with One, Black with Two June

A very good day to you! I hope your day is going well.. I can't believe how fast the days are going.. I am looking forward to the school holidays where I don't have to go out every day but can stay at home..

Thanks for all your comments on my last post.. I thought I would show you the layout that Bec Beattie had for us to do in her class.. I learnt  that whipped Spackle is not a food but a soft type of texture paste! I also  did some embossing on chipboard which I have done at home but was good to know a few more tips about it..

Becs layout..
and my finished layout which I just changed a few things but the essence is still there..
I sat with GWEN which made it even more enjoyable as we scrapped and chatted.. I would certainly do another class next year!

Well during last week I was able to sit and get a bit of scrapping done...

The challenge over at WHITE WITH ONE is to use
which is a bright red.. and red is such a hard color to photograph and get the shade right, but hopefully my red is ok..
I nearly chucked this in the bin when I first started.. I put red gelato on the page and sprayed it with water, but it looked like I had just had a blood nose.. what a mess.. but thank goodness for gesso which I slopped on and saved the page!!!

and yes I have used new dies from the craft show... the flowers, the brick wall and the honeycomb..

Dance as though no one is watching you..

And the challenge over at BLACK WITH TWO is to use the colors shown and the sketch and the word sweetness  in your journalling..

I found these old Kaiser papers and they fitted the colors and this is my take on the challenge this month..

Sweetness in pink..

Well thanks so much for coming by, I hope you have a great week.. thanks too for your lovely comments..

Once upon A Sketch June.

Hello there,  I hope your day is going well..

I had a wonderful time at the Craft Show on saturday, the day went way too fast, I spent lots of money on fabulous scrappy things.. like stencils, dies, stamps, chip board and liquid pearls.. oh and flowers... beautiful flowers.. I did a class and sat with Gwen and chatted and enjoyed creating with Bec Beattie as instructor..  Saw lots of stunning creations around the hall, said a quick Hi to Cathy Cafun and Anne Patterson who were busy on stalls..Watched Limor Webber create magic with mists.. so a really good day.. now to save up for next year.. hehe!

I have created a layout for the June challenge over at ONCE UPON A SKETCH which is to use this sketch..
and use the theme of the best things in life arent things.. I changed that a bit and went with ...
The most precious things in life aren't things..

The photo I have used is one of my DD and her cat, that has since died.. So the photo is very precious.. I have put a postcard of journalling on the back of the layout...

and my layout using Kaiser papers Lady Rose..

Lots of fussy cut flowers from the papers and layered over each other..

Thanks so much for your visit, and thanks so much for your wonderful comments that I really appreciate..

The card sketch over at FEELING SKETCHY looks like..
and I did some embossing on the 3 panels on the front and this is my card..
And I did a layout for the June challenge over at SCRAP THE BOYS which is to use a larger photo 5 by 7 or larger.. Well I used a 5 by 7 and it is a photo of 2 darling little boys born to friends of my daughter.. I could not resist the photo and as I was scrapping the page I just couldn't help but look at them!

They are..

Heaven Sent...

I have used soft pastel colors and baby embellishments I have had for ages..

Well so nice of you to come by and thanks too for any comments you leave me.. I hope you have a splendid weekend!!

The June challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS is one I really enjoyed and I hope you do too! It is to take inspiration from the new blog banner that looks like this..
Isn't that a beauty!! I think so!! and my inspiration was to use it like a sketch.. I have hand made the rolled roses and added ric rac and used a favourite photo of my gorgoeus girls!!

My Girls..
a closer view of the roses..
